Lock Ins Are Ludicrous
Ian Collins in his infinite wisdom has decided to ban pass outs from the Telstra Dome. He has hidden behind the thinly veiled excuse of public liability issues and patron safety and made it forbidden for anyone to leave the ground and re-enter without paying twice. Heaven forbid you should leave your jacket in the car or want to go and kick the footy with your kids or mates on the concourse for that is now simply not an option. [Read more]
Ready to Make Bryce

Kudos to the Blues for instigating what other clubs might consider a bold step. I strongly agree with this announcement. The entire Carlton fraternity will be enjoying the benefits of this promotion sooner rather than later. We are not referring to a kid straight out of the Under-18s TAC Cup. Gibbs has been excelling at senior football for a few seasons now, and obviously what he has been able to bring to MC Labour Park has impressed his coaches and teammates out of sight. His teammates will witness first hand the processes involved in order to command admiration at the ultimate echelon of their sport. [Read more]
Reality Bites For The Bombers
February 22, 2007
To steal a line from TISM “Hope may spring eternal, but you must not let itâ€. For some Essendon fans these words ring especially true. In the last few months I have been subjected, on far too many occasions, to illogical rants from Essendon supporters suggesting that the 2007 crop of Bombers are the real deal and genuine premiership contenders. How even the most deluded fan can think this is beyond me. Here is why those very Essendon pumpers should keep a lid on things and realise that while improvement is likely, genuine success is still a little way off. [Read more]
Betting In Footy - Has This Story Been Blown Out Of Proportion?
February 21, 2007
On the eve of the 2007 NAB cup, the big story in the world of AFL is the so called “betting scandal” that 4 players have been caught up in. The named players are Simon Goodwin (Adelaide), Kieran Jack (Sydney), David Hale (North Melbourne) and Daniel Ward (Melbourne). Extensive debate has followed the naming of these players with regards to the severity of any punishment that should be handed out, if in fact they should be punished at all given that none of them bet against their own team. [Read more]

Outer Army Heritage Round Petition
February 15, 2007
In 2007 we believe its about time the PAFC should wear the famous black and white heritage guernsey from the 1970’s. We believe the club should make every effort possible to ensure the AFL accepts the bid as they have not done in the past. Because of this the Outer Army has created a petition for EVERYONE who shares this view no matter where they live or which team they support. [Read more]

8th - Richmond
Allow me to quickly and momentarily state the obvious, I’ll be brief, I promise, I’ll be succinct, like ripping off a Band-Aid, OK are you ready, here we go, no procrastinating, right now, go time, let me say it… Richmond have underachieved in recent seasons. There, done. That didn’t hurt too much did it. Any side with proven performers like Matthew Richardson, Nathan Brown, Darren Gaspar, the Bowden boys and Kane Johnson should be making finals, regularly. We all know the jokes about the Tigers’ accepted (almost traditional) mediocrity. [Read more]

Never Tear Us Apart (positions 16-12)
These guys are lead pipe locks to be at the helms of their respective clubs in coming seasons. Nothing short of death or retirement will keep them out of their jobs and media pressure is practically non existent. Rumour has it a few of them tried out for the gig as the new lead singer of INXS given the familiarity of their above-mentioned smash hit. [Read more]
