St Kilda has bounced back after last weeks defeat against Collingwood with a comfortable 43-point victory over Fremantle at Subiaco Oval on Sunday. After leading the entire second quarter things quickly turned sour for the Dockers when St Kilda came out firing in the second half with the first six scoring shots. Fremantle only managed one goal during the 3rd quarter which was no match for St Kildas 6. Going into the final quarter with a 28-point lead things were looking dim for the Dockers and it only got worse as the Saints finished them off nailing the first four goals of the quarter. St Kilda captain Nick Reiwoldt led the way with 5 goals to his name meanwhile the small forwards also played a roll with Adam Schneider kicking 4 goals and Steven Milne with 3 goals. Matthew Pavlich could do little to even up the scoreboard, only managing 3 goals along with fellow team mate Adam Campbell. St Kilda now sit a game ahead of ninth placed Brisbane but coach Ross Lyon believes they must win at least one of their upcoming games to cement a spot in the finals. St Kilda’s run home includes matches against Adelaide and Essendon, both played at Telstra Dome.
