The match Western Bulldogs v Essendon was originally scheduled to be played in Darwin but will now be played at Telstra Dome on Friday night as a fund-raiser for the victims of the Victorian bushfires and the emergency service workers and volunteers who have risked their lives to fight the fires or provide support. The game will now be played as the NAB Cup Bushfire Appeal game which will kick off at 8.40pm on Friday night. The AFL is encouraging all football fans, not just fans of the respective teams, to join as one and support the cause. The game will be broadcast live around country on fox sports and on network seven for Melbourne viewers. Tickets go on sale at 1pm tomorrow (Tuesday), All proceeds from the match would be donated to the Victorian Government’s Bushfire Appeal Fund. Want to help the victims of the fires? Find out how!
