Collingwood will contest the three match ban that the match review panel handed out to Collingwood skipper Nick Maxwell for engaging in rough conduct with Pat McGinnity which left the 19 year old with a broken jaw. If Maxwell is unsuccessful in challenging the ban he may miss up to four games. Due to the Magpies going on a community camp to the Mornington Peninsula for the next two days the fate of Maxwell will not be known until the 17th of February. Meanwhile Carlton have accepted the four match ban on Setanta O’hAilpin for punching and kicking a fellow team mate in an intra club match.
