A member of the Hawthorn cheersquad is believed to have allegedly struck Carlton spearhead Brendan Fevola on the head with a ‘flogger’ during the clash at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The alleged incident occurred whilst Fevola was standing behind the goal line as a team mate was shooting for goal. After the incident occurred Fevola spoke to nearby security and pointed out the alleged offender and asked he be removed from the stadium.
It’s believed the incident left the star forward with a lump on his head but no other injury concerns.
It’s unknown whether Fevola or the Carlton Football Club will take the issue any further.
This incident just adds to other incidents within cheersquads in the past, what is your opinion? Comment below!
