Round 3 Rising Star: Patrick Dangerfield

Patrick Dangerfield of the Crows has been rewarded for his near best on ground performance against Fremantle with the round three rising star nomination. Dangerfield, who turned 19 just over a week ago, impressed everyone with his 20 possessions, 5 tackles, 4 clearances and a goal. In just his 5th game of football the Geelong Falcons boy has already been compared to Adelaide legend Mark Ricciuto who he happens to share the number famous #32 on the back of his guernsey. Taken with pick #10 in the 2007 National Draft, Dangerfield opted to stay at home in Victoria last season to finish his VCE Dangerfield only got on the track for the Crows twice in 2008. Last year Dangerfield surprised many when he decided to continue playing with his TAC Cup the Geelong Falcons. Do you think Dangerfield deserved this weeks nomination? Comment below!
