Throughout the season AFL Online forum members have been voting on every game in a similar style to the Brownlow Medal. The results were released on the morning of the Brownlow in order to compare and to act as a form guide for the most prestigious award in AFL and that’s exactly what it was.

Without further ado we would like to announce Gary Ablett as the winner of the very first AFL Online MVP award.

Ablett finished with 33 votes which included 8 ‘Best on Grounds’.

Chris Judd and Dane Swan were the closest competitors with 24 votes, a whopping 9 votes behind Ablett.

The AFL Online MVP top 10 featured 7 players who finished in the top 10 in the AFL’s Brownlow Medal. Swan, Montagna, Didak and Goddard featured in the MVP top 10 but missed out on the Brownlow top 10. Hayes, Black, Goodes and Joel Selwood were the ones who made the Brownlow top 10 but not the MVP top 10.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed throughout the season and voted each week. I would personally like to thank Rally for his efforts in running the MVP. We encourage everyone to register on the forums and participate in the 2010 AFL Online MVP.
