Kane Johnson, captain of the Richmond Football Club was arrested in the early hours of this morning for being drunk in a public place and was caught urinating in public.
The Tigers have confirmed that their captain was arrested outside a police complex in St Kilda but will wait to meet with other officials to decide what Johnson’s penalty will be.
The incident come only a week after Carlton’s spearhead forward Brendan Fevola was accused of urinating in public outside a Melbourne night spot, the police were not involved.
Fevola was fined the maximum amount, sacked from the leadership group, pledged to stop drinking alcohol and it was made public that if Fevola has another alcohol related incident his contract at Carlton will be terminated.
The pressure is now on Richmond to penalize Johnson more severely after Carlton were criticized for going to light on Fevola.
