After the massive hype with the return of Ben Cousins and built up showdown with ex-teamate Chris Judd, the trouble star has injured his hamstring in a dirty night for the Tigers, which saw them belted by 83 points.
It is not yet confirmed the extent of the injury, although it didn’t look good when he grabbed straight for his hamstring early in the final quarter. Questions will be asked with Cousins looking sore at three quarter and being allowed back on the ground again in the last quarter.
In other bad news, Andrew Raines may have also re-injured his knee. After spending most of the 2008 season out with a dislocated knee the backman was looking for a smooth comeback in 09. It is too early to tell if the injury will cause Raines to miss games, although he was seen on crutches in the rooms after the game.
