GWS Giants star Jeremy Cameron is facing a lengthy stint on the sidelines for a rough conduct charge that was sent straight to the tribunal earlier this week.

The 22-year-old will face the tribunal tonight after a request by the Giants to delay the hearing by 24 hours was denied.

A head high bump on Brisbane Lions recruit Rhys Mathieson left the teenager hospitalised with a broken cheekbone.

Cameron remains a well fancied chance to win the Coleman Medal this year paying $13 on Ladbrokes.
