The Match Review Panel has handed out a number of penalties to players from Games 13 to 18 of the NAB Challenge, with offenses occurring between Monday 24th February and Saturday 1st March.

Players penalised by MRP

Billie Smedts (Geelong) – has received a reprimand for striking Jimmy Toumpas (Melbourne).
The MRP assessed the charge as Level Two striking.
The initial penalty of 125 demerit points and a one match ban may be reduced to a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points with an early plea.

Lenny Hayes (St Kilda) – has received a one match ban for striking Stephen Congilio (GWS).
The MRP assessed the charge as Level Three striking.
The initial penalty of 225 demerit points and a two match ban may be reduced to a one match ban with an early plea.

Maverick Weller (St Kilda) – has received a one match ban for striking Tomas Bugg (GWS).
The MRP assessed the charge as Level Three striking.
The initial penalty of 225 demerit points and a two match ban may be reduced to a one match ban with an early plea.

Ryan O’Keefe (Sydney) – has received a reprimand for striking Scott Selwood (West Coast).
The MRP assessed the charge as Level Two striking.
The initial penalty of 125 demerit points and a one match ban may be reduced to a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points with an early plea.

Scott Selwood West Coast) – has received a $900 fine for misconduct after he pushed Craig Bird (Sydney) into the path of an umpire.
The MRP assessed the charge as a First offence in Misconduct.
The initial penalty of $1200 may be reduced to $900 with an early plea.
