Majak Daw has been suspended indefinitely by the Kangaroos today for what they say to be “breaching team rehabilitation protocols and behaving in a manner unbefitting of the club’s culture and expectations”.

The up and coming rookie who made headlines yesterday for declaring he would be likely to miss the NAB Cup series after a knee injury had taken longer to overcome than expected.

North Melbourne said in a statement that they would not discuss the details of why Daw was suspended.

“The club understands there will be great interest in the circumstances which led to Majak’s suspension, but it is not in a position to elaborate,” the statement read.

Daw will train with VFL affiliate Werribee Tigers until further notice.

CEO Eugene Arocca and chief of football Donald McDonald will address the media at midday today.
