Despite the Magpie’s gallant win over the Cats on Friday night, the club is now dealing with the injury concerns two players sustained during the match. Dane Swan strained his hamstring and results of yesterday’s scans having been revealed, he will consequently miss two weeks for recovery.

Adding to the Collingwood injury list, Ben Reid injured his quad over the weekend and is expected to miss the next two weeks. If all goes to plan, both players will return in Round Eleven against the Demons. However, a week later the entire team will be one of six rested during the bye scheduled in Round Twelve.

It is likely returning Pie Chris Tarrant will be considered as a replacement for Reid in the Collingwood defense, after he showed good form in his VFL match over the weekend.
