On Tuesday night, Port Adelaide’s Justin Westhoff challenged his charge for striking Cale Hooker (Essendon) during Sunday’s match. Westhoff’s conduct was accessed as intentional, low impact and high contact.

The Tribunal took into consideration Westhoff’s six year good behaviour and reduced the initial penalty from two weeks at 225 demerit points down to 168.75 which means he will be missing when the Power battles the Hawks this Saturday at AAMI Stadium.

Other penalties accepted

Adelaide
Shaun McKernan accepted a two match ban for striking Brad Sheppard (West Coast).

Greater Western Sydney
Taylor Adams accepted a one match ban for striking Adam Cooney (Western Bulldogs).

West Coast
Patrick McGinnity accepted a three match ban for rough conduct on Bernie Vince (Adelaide).
