North Melbourne first round pick in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft, Jack Ziebell has won the Round 7 NAB Rising Star nomination for his 23 disposals in the Roos five point win over Port Adelaide at Telstra Dome on Saturday night.
The youngster played his first game in Round 1 and has been an impressive in the midfield averaging 17 disposals per game and currently leads the club in kicks. He has played every game so far this and has looked comfortable on the on the big stage.
Ziebell is one of the favorites to win the coverted award at seasons end and as the 18 year old says he is striving for consistancy in just his first season of senior football.
“If you are going to set the benchmark up high you have got to stay up there and make sure your consistency is right up there. That is the main thing for me to make sure my consistency is right and I’ve got to try real hard to keep it there,” he said today.
