The most significant of the round were the season ending shoulder injury to young Magpies Sean Rusling, the knee injury to gun Essendon forward Scott Lucas and the dislocated wrist of Trent Croad. Lucas is expected to miss 10 – 12 weeks with a ruptured PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) while Croad escaped a major stint on the sidelines with his injury being better than first thought. Adelaide also lost young Brent Reilly after he broke his wrist against the Western Bulldogs on Sunday. It’s yet to be confirmed how long he will miss, but he is expected to have his arm in a cast for around 6 weeks.
