Yes thats right, after a very successful competition last season we are again going to be running the same competition but a bigger and better one of that! The competition will once again be absolutely free to enter and cash prizes for the end of season winners. A special thanks to BuyAShed who have agreed to be the major sponsor this season. AFL Online, in conjunction with dreamteamforum.com.au, will be running a Herald Sun Supercoach league for its members. With the new competition opening on Monday for the 2008 season, a new feature allows you to place your team in multiple leagues, so this may generate more interest from our members and we may have to run multiple leagues. AFL Online would like to congratulate Ann Dawson on winning the 2007 AFL Online Tipping Competition. Ann finished with a score of 116 and won the competition outright by 2 whole tips and collecting a handy $250 for her efforts. In second position came Jason Toirkens on 114 tips and again claimed the prize outright with no other tipster on the same score. Jason is a NRL fan at heart but decided to have a go at AFL and it has paid off collecting $50 as a reward. Third position wasn’t as easy to claim with 6 tipsters all finished on 113 tips. However it was one of our forum moderators who claimed the prize after a countback. Luke tipped 8 twice this season which was more than anyone else on 113 points. Considering Luke is already a moderator a forum subscription was rather pointless so we rewarded him with a voucher on Sports Delivered. AFL Online would like to congratulate the above winners and would like to thank everyone who entered the competition. We hope to see you back in 2008 for what we hope will be a bigger and better competition.

AFL Online is pleased to announce our weekly banner competition. Thanks to the kind people at Sports Darts each weekly winner will receive a game of Footy Darts! To enter all you have to do is register on the forums and post your banner ideas each week, the winners will be selected by the forum administrators. As judges we will be looking for the most creative, wacky and humorous banners to be selected as the weekly prize winners. If you watch Before The Game on network 10 you will have a pretty good idea as to what were looking for. But if you are unfamiliar with the program then have a look at some of these examples.
