Fisher to miss 6 to 8 weeks

Carlton forward Brad Fisher will miss the start of the home and away season after breaking the base of his thumb in Saturday nights match against Port Adelaide. Fisher had a pin inserted to the base of his thumb this afternoon which will keep him on the sidelines for six to eight weeks. Fisher will join the likes of Cain Ackland, Clinton Benjamin, Adam Bentick, Chris Judd and Andrew Walker on the injury list at Carlton. Former Lion Richard Hadley will be available for selection in this weeks match between Carlton and Hawthorn on Saturday night. Carlton Injury List
