West Coast Eagles defender Beau Waters will miss the next two rounds of football after unsuccessfully contesting the original two week offer at the AFL tribunal tonight. Waters was cited after engaging in rough contact with Collingwood’s Shane O’Bree in the final quarter of Saturdays match at the MCG. Waters planned to argue that the contact was unavoidable with the situation he found himself in however the tribunal deemed that Waters was not contesting the ball. Waters said he was disappointed to be missing out on the games against Sydney and Essendon. “I’m still of the intention that I was going for the football,” he said. “Although I did receive a fair hearing, it’s unfortunate and I’ll serve the two weeks.”
