Ebert signs for three

Young Port forward Brett Ebert has today signed a new contract that will see him stay at the Power until the end of the 2011 season. Port were quick to secure their 2007 leading goal kicker and first player taken under the father-son rule. Ebert was drafted in 2002 and has serviced the club well kicking 144 goals in his 92 games. The 24 year old was also happy to stay at the club and explained how the team wants to make the most of the rest of the season. “It’s great to be able to stay at the same club and stay with the same bunch of guys and the same coaching staff. The club has shown a bit of faith in me, so now it’s up to me to repay that on the field.” “We’ve still got six games to go and we just want to finish off the season well by getting some wins on the board.”
