LikeWhat an embarrassing start to the season. Being a Carlton supporter there was so much more added pain on losing last week. Going to have to start taking my Carlton glasses off from now on and start focusing on winning some $$$.
Leg 1: Brisbane – WIN – Under 39.5 Points @ $2.20
Of all the legs this week, this would have to be the one I am the least confident over. I have said in previous weeks that I don’t rate Collingwood so there is no doubt that I’m tipping Brisbane, they have a midfield and forward line that could contest a lot of teams in the competition and with Bradshaw and Brown their forward line is as strong as Hawthorns. What worries me is the fact that Shaw and Maxwell out of the side, assuming it doesn’t rain the margin is what I’m really worried about.
Leg 2: Sydney – WIN – Under 39.5 Points @ $2.70
Apparently Carlton haven’t won in Sydney since 1993 nor have we beaten Sydney in roughly 8 years. It’s a shocking statistic and its not going to be an easy task to erase. Sydney, the king of stoppages love the SCG. I’d say playing at the SCG would be harder than any other interstate trip. At $2.70 I think there is definitely value here for the swans to win by less than 39.5 points.
Leg 3: St Kilda – WIN @ $1.11
Fremantle are a joke, there’s no chance of them winning this game. They won’t win any interstate games this season. Sure thing.
Leg 4: Richmond – WIN @ $1.34
Don’t be fooled by the Richmond rubbish the media has been feeding you all week. They will come out and punish the Demons this week. Other then round one against Carlton, which was an off night for the Tiges, they have played two of the best teams in the competition. Good odds for Richmond.
Leg 5: Geelong – WIN @ $1.33
Geelong are clearly the better team here and recent history tells us that they don’t have a problem playing at AAMI Stadium. I simply can’t see how the Crows can win this game.

I find NBA betting the most profitable – Take a look at a given match, decide which team will beat the line – and then take the “Alternate Line” they offer you at $1.40 and take the insurance.
Line up 2 or 3 of these each day and you’ll be smiling.
I took it very slow with a $250 bank and not betting more than 10-15% of that bank at any one time – in 3 weeks I had turned that into nearly $2,500.
Then, along came Round 1 AFL! Big shot here gave them back $1,500 in the first 4 round! Ouch.
Geelong (-17.5) in Round 1 – what was that last quarter all about?
Hawthorn ($1.40) in Round 2 – so the last quarter against Geelong was a total fluke?
Carlton in Round 3.

Hawthorn (-23.5) @ $1.90 in Round 4 – So beating North doesn’t mean you’ve turned the corner – which I guess is obvious now.
A lot of the other matches I had came through obviously – these were the stingers – so took a week off.
Saddest thing is, I’m a St. Kilda supporter, and we’ve beaten the line every week so far. 5/5. Only team to do so.

so easy, so uncomplicated – and just following a team on awesome form – of course I would never dump my whole pot on one match – but line bets are so tempting because of the good odds they give you.
Remembering back – we also beat the line 14 weeks in a row in 2004. Should have been an absolute gold mine that streak.
All 4 rounds of NAB Cup and then first 10 rounds of the season.
Looking at the bulldogs, I reckon we’re good things to beat the line again this week – apart from last year, we have a very good record against the Dogs, plus, we’re in scintillating form.
Oh, and bring back the NBA regular season. 3-8 or more games every single day for 7 months.
