Multi Madness: Round 15

Not a great deal of value in this round from my point of view. If you were smart enough to get on the Lions before the teams came out then well done. Even after the teams were announced you could get some juicy odds on the Lions. However once news came out that Ablett and Varcoe were to miss bookmakers went into chaos mode and you can currently gets odds of up to $1.70 for Geelong to beat Brisbane. You would have to think that they’re the longest odds Geelong have had in two years.

Leg 1: Western Bulldogs to WIN @ $1.60 I know both teams are in good form at the moment but I think the Bulldogs have been more convincing. Amazingly for this time of year both teams have close to full strength teams on the park. Daniel Giansiracusa being the exception for the Bulldogs. The reason I’m going with the Dogs in this one is due to their record over the Pies. they’ve won 5 of the past 6 including the past 3 at Docklands. Not game enough to throw a margin bet in this one after what we saw last week! Leg 2: Sydney to WIN @ $1.70 This is probably the leg that I’m least confident in to be completely honest. There has been a fair bit of media attention on the Swans the past week which they wouldn’t be all that used to up there. Hurley, McVeigh, Watson are all coming back in to the side for Essendon with Monfries and Skipworth both out injured this week. I can’t go past the fact that Sydney haven’t lost a game at the SCG this season. No Barry Hall is a big loss but as Matthew Knights said during the week it just makes their forward line unpredictable. Leg 3: Carlton to WIN between 1-39 @ $2.20 Hard to forget the events of round 1. Such a massive build up with the the Judd vs Cousins rivalry and the fact it was the season opener. This time around I think things will be a little different. I still expect Carlton to win, I just don’t think Richmond will fall apart like they did in round 1. Both teams traveled interstate last week, Carlton however had the longer of the two trips, flying to Perth and will have a days less break than the Tigers. Expect the Tigers to show some spirit but at the end of the day they still want that priority pick and won’t win this one. Leg 4: Adelaide to WIN between 1-39 @ $2.30 Maybe I’m being crazy suggesting Adelaide won’t absolutely smash the Dockers in this one, they are without their two most important players in Pavlich and Sandilands. I just have a feeling that the Dockers will go into this one with some confidence. Their record against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium is a decent one. They looked the goods early against Carlton last week, they have actually been in some decent form the past month without getting results. I think this could be a close game. Combined Odds: $13.76
