The Race for the 8

Carlton 36, Sydney 36, North 32, and Adelaide 28 are all now fighting for the final 2 places in the top 8.
All clubs have tough home runs. All 4 play 3 of the top 4/5 teams in their final 5 games.
Carlton - Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond, Geelong, Fremantle (a)
Sydney - Geelong, Hawthorn, Fremantle (a), Western Bulldogs, Brisbane (a),
North - Bulldogs, Fremantle, St. Kilda, West Coast (a), Melbourne
Adelaide - Richmond (a), Bulldogs, Brisbane (a), Coll (a), St Kilda
These are the sides final 5 games, and really no team is a certainty in any of these games. Carlton should beat Richmond, as should Adelaide (although they have to play them in Melbourne). North should beat Melbourne, but have to play West Coast away. Sydney should beat Brisbane at the Gabba, but that's never a certainty.
Each team has 1 winnable game, and 1 50/50. Although sydney will find it hard playing Hawthorn even if it is at their home ground. Who do you think can get through?

The crows can still make it but not if we play like we did yesterday. After seeing how we played against Geelong I think if everyone steps up we can beat any of the big 4 teams especially with Knights and Bock back and hopefully playing well. Looking at the break between us and carlton and sydney it will actually be quiet hard. From here if we can somehow make finals we will be considered a darkhorse for the flag because we are going to have to knock off most if not all the top 4 sides by seasons end.

What is known is... the difference between the top 5 teams (hawks not dockers) and the rest.. is the greatest I have seen for a long long time...
We should make it now... but that is all we'll do...

Even if Adelaide are one of the few most form sides in the comp come september, 0-6 does not deserve finals.
Carlton are like essendon 2009. Showed some dangerous potential in early-mid season, but became largely duds in the last several rounds. Though like essendon 2009, I think they have done enough to get a finals game.
Sydney are the most likely to get shafted, but when their 22 turns up, they are a damn good side. Given the lack of interstaters up there this year, it would be bad if only a fading Freo made it.
Some demons fans will also be hoping their side can play like they did against sydney over the final rounds to maybe have a chance.
The wooden spoon race has in one week gone from wide open to a shallower pool. WCE's odds must have halved now, given port(and the bombers i guess)won.
Could see a 6-16 wooden spooner this year, which is almost unheard of I think.
Thanks for the Memories CESC

I think the wooden spooner def could be a 5/17 or 6/16 this year.
