No one made a thread of this game??? :nonono:

I'm sorry but where was the other AFL team today that was supposed to show up? I only saw Judd, but he's shoulders got to sore playing against the other 20+ players. :flick:

Good win boys. Next one is a biggy for us. Im sure we can do it.

Matthew Scarlett on the 2010 Prelim against Collingwood:"They just annihilated us early and we were a bit shell-shocked. I’ve played for a while and I’ve never seen a side [apply so much] pressure. They just swarm you and it’s like they’ve got three or four extra players out there. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

This would have to be the first year since ive been registered with this forum that there was no build up to a Collingwood v Carlton game.

Not even a thread started. I can hear crickets.

That was the most undeserving 48 point loss that has ever existed... the magnitude in class, skills, structure and disciple between the two teams are worlds apart... for the domination of this game... an more accurate margin should have been 120 points...

They should never call a contest for a ball a 50/50... because collingwood have somehow transformed that to 98/2...

That was one of the most unenergetic, lacklustre experience i had at a collingwood carlton game...

I have never been confident going up against Carlton.

But today was just a matter of what Collingwood's winning margin would be. I was thinking about 100 points, it felt like 100 points so i'll take that.

It's funny that at the end of this game and the earlier game... we lost by less this game... but we played 50000x better the earlier game

Yeh, I'm seriously worried he'll pull that crap in the finals. Cloke 30 metres out in the Grand Final....I'd have no confidence.

Can't say he didn't do well in all other aspects of his game though....tore Bower to pieces again.

I'm really glad we aren't reliant on Presti anymore. It's a luxury being able to afford to rest him up

Man seriously who is teaching Cloke to kick?? He honestly needs to fix that shit up.

I would not doubt him for a second in a marking contest.... But he seriously needs to just pass it off or something... He is the worst set shot in the game and he is so dominant in other areas its a win/loss.

If we make the GF and he pulls that crap.... I dont even want to think about it.

I never leave games early, the only time I do is if I'm at Etihad with my little brother so we can avoid the crowd over the bridge which would be a pain being with a kid.

Today I left at half time.

Very worrying signs for Carlton.

Full credit to Collingwood, I haven't seen many teams as dominant as they were in that second quarter. We barely got it past the centre all quarter.

I don't know what, but something needs to change.

Horrible effort from Carlton, we'll just be making up numbers in the finals. It looks like our team has taken a step back and pulling out some of the inexperience in 08 which was ok back then but most have matured now and shouldn't be making these mistakes i.e murphs kicking, gibbs contested possession, a lot of cheap possies going around just in general we stopped making those mistakes during the first half of the season and its very worrying that we're getting into the habit of it come finals time. Credit to Collingwood simply killed us, next week the two best teams face eachother will be a cracker.

Only player i'm gonna bother commenting on is beams. The kids an absolute star already, joel selwood board imho.

He's just got it all. The others who stood out were just having standard games, but Beamsy was well up in the class acts of the game.

The other one i should mention is wellingham, absolutely tore Judd a new a-hole in that second quarter. Probably ended up with more possies than over half of carltons side in a half of football, hope his knee comes up okay.
