Christian Petracca’s season is over before it begun after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee at training on Monday.
The young Demon will miss the entire 2015 season after the club confirmed on Monday that the 19-year-old will have season-ending knee surgery.
Petracca was taken with the clubs second pick in the 2014 National Draft and was on track to debut for the Demons early in the season.
Thanks everyone for the messages and I appreciate the support, looking forward to starting rehab n getting back on the track, I'll be back

Terrible news for @cpetracca7! Nobody deserves that. Best part – he's a terrific kid who will bounce back. I'll look after him #teamrehab
