The Match Review Panel has charged a number of players for rough conduct in round two.

Players penalised by the MRP


Richard Douglas (Adelaide)
– has received a $900 fine for making contact with umpire Justin Schmitt.

The MRP assessed it as a first offence for making negligent contact with an umpire.

The initial penalty of $1200 may be reduced to $900 with an early plea.

 

Jarrad Waite (Carlton) – has received a reprimand for misconduct staging.

The MRP assessed it as a first offence.

 

Nathan Fyfe (Fremantle) – has received 206.25 demerit points and two match ban for rough conduct against Michael Rischitelli (Gold Coast).

The MRP assessed it as level two engaging in rough conduct.

The initial penalty of a two match ban and 225 demerit points may be reduced to a two match ban and 206.25 demerit points with an early plea.

 

Zac Dawson (Fremantle) – has received a one match ban and 105 demerit points for tripping Brandon Matera (Gold Coast).

The MRP assessed it as level one tripping.

The initial penalty of a one match ban and 80 demerit points was added to 60 demerit points already accumulated, therefore it may only be reduced to a one match ban and 105 demerit points with an early plea.

 

Taylor Hunt (Geelong) – has received a one match ban and 168.75 demerit points for rough conduct against Daniel Rich (Brisbane Lions).

The MRP assessed it as level two engaging in rough conduct.

The initial penalty of a two match ban and 225 demerit points may be reduced to a one match ban and 168.75 demerit points with an early plea.

 

Callan Ward (GWS) – has received a $1950 fine for making contact with umpire Robert Findlay.

The MRP assessed it as a first offence for making reckless contact with an umpire.

The initial penalty of $2600 may be reduced to $1950 with an early plea.

 

Jake King (Richmond) – has received a $900 fine for making unnecessary contact with Jarrad Waite (Carlton).

The MRP assessed it as a first offence for misconduct.

The initial penalty of $1200 may be reduced to $900 with an early plea.

 

Tom Derickx (Sydney) – has received a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points for rough conduct against Scott Pendlebury (Collingwood).

The MRP assessed it as level one engaging in rough conduct.

The initial penalty of a reprimand and 125 demerit points may be reduced to a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points with an early plea.
