Tom Scully is set to play his first game for Greater Western Sydney this weekend after recovering from a fractured cheekbone. Scully accidentally sustained the injury from his own teammate Israel Folau.

Folau, however, is not expected to play against the Roos on Sunday in Hobart after he missed training today, citing personal reasons.

While Scully has said that he was disappointed not to be able to play in the historic first game for GWS, he is looking forward to playing many more games ahead of a promising future with his new club.

Scully’s debut with the Giants it due to coincide with the return of his teammates Luke Power and Dean Brogan this weekend. Power has spent the past four weeks recovering from a hamstring injury.
