On Saturday night, Chris Tarrant returned to the Magpie’s defense after recovering during the pre-season with an injury to his foot. Now Tarrant faces an additional three to four weeks on the sidelines with a calf injury which he sustained during the first quarter of Saturday night’s match against the Tigers.
Nick Maxwell has been given the all clear to play on Friday night against Carlton, with Sharrod Wellingham set to join him after completing his two-match ban. Ben Johnson is also due to return after playing the first two rounds in the reserves.
Travis Cloak’s shoulder problem which was treated during the match over the long-weekend shouldn’t stop him from playing against the Blues this week, according the Geoff Walsh, the Magpie’s director of football.
Alan Didak will return through the VFL this weekend.
