IN the shadows of the David Neitz retirement, Docker veteren has also announced his immediate retirement from AFL Football.

With constant leg troubles the 29 year old felt that his time was up and didn’t want to stand in the way of some young up and coming players. Carr revealed that he had been debating over his future for some time and with the recent injury troubles he decided that now was the right time to call it quits.

Carr told his family, including his brother and teammate Josh of his decision on Sunday, before annoucing to the club and media today.

He ends his career after playing 162 games including 28 for St Kilda before crossing the Fremantle in 2001.
