THE Hawks have spoiled Dean Baileys debut as head coach of the Melbourne Football club after pumping the Demons by 104 points at the MCG the evening of Easter Sunday.

Lance Franklin had one of his
stand-out days kicking 6 goals and 3 behinds. Former Port Adelaide
player, Stuart Dew, who came out of retirement to play for the Hawks
was impressive with 25 disposals and 2 goals to his name.

An injury to
Trent Croad was the only downer of the night after he dislocated his
wrist in the opening minutes of the match and could miss as many as 8
matches.

The Demons only had 3 goal scorers for the match with Robertson kicking 3, Green 2 and a single to Moloney. The massive loss was the worst possible way to kick off Dean Baileys coaching career, the 150 anniversary of the club and membership tally which is currently the lowest in the competition which is below 20,000 according to their club website.
