Young gun Michael Newton launches himself above team mate and captain David Neitz to take a spectacular pack mark which i consider i shoe in for Mark of The Year. In only his 4th game he has already secured a memory he will never forget, not to mention a brand new Toyota in his driveway at the end of September! The only real mark that can contest to this is Mark McVeigh’s screamer in Round 3 against Carlton which was paid however under the new hand in the back interpretation should have been deemed illegal. Also the courageous Jonathan Brown mark will be considered but in my opinion as an AFL fan we love a screamer and that’s why Newton will bag the 2007 AFL Mark of The Year.
