St Kilda flanker Aaron Fiora faces a one match ban for striking Collingwood’s John McCarthy at the MCG on Saturday night, unless he challenges the charge at the tribunal.

The 27 year old also incurs carry over points from last season which means that the one match penalty cannot be reduced with an early guilty plea.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct, low impact  and body contact, which draws 125 points to add to his 45 carry over points. Any early guilty plea would reduce the demerit points to 127.50 but still incurs a one match ban.
