After being hospitalised last week, it has been revealed that Kangaroo Scott McMahon is still recovering from a condition called urticaria, otherwise known as hives. McMahon is currently in hospital being treated for the condition with cortico steroids in an effort to reduce the rashes and joint inflammation he has been experiencing.
Understandably, McMahon’s return to the North Melbourne defense is being approached with caution by the club. Steve Saunders, the Roos’ Director of Medical Services has said that it McMahon will be considered on a week-to-week basis until the club is confident the condition has been completely treated and McMahon is no longer at risk.
Nonetheless, Saunders doesn’t think McMahon will miss too many games and believes if all goes we he will return to the side within the coming weeks.
