Round 13 signalled the mid-way point of the 2014 AFL season and the Match Review Panel released its list of players and their penalties from the weekend. Four players who were lucky enough to have their charges dismissed.

Players penalised by the MRP

 

Dennis Armfield (Carlton) – has received a $1200 fine for misconduct against Grant Birchall (Hawthorn).

The MRP assessed it as level one misconduct.

The initial penalty may be reduced to $900 with an early plea.

 

Armfield also received a one match ban and 125 demerit points for striking Grant Birchall (Hawthorn).

The MRP assessed it as level two striking.

The initial penalty may be reduced to a reprimand and 70.31 demerit points with an early plea.

 

Dale Thomas (Carlton) – has received a reprimand and 80 demerit points for striking Issac Smith (Hawthorn).

The MRP assessed it as level one striking.

The initial penalty may be reduced to a reprimand and 60 demerit points with an early plea.

 

Michael Barlow (Fremantle) – has received a $2600 fine for making contact with unmprie Leigh Fisher.

The MRP assessed it as a first offence for making reckless contact with an umpire.

The initial penalty may be reduced to $1950 with an early plea.

 

Zac Dawson (Fremantle) – has received a one match ban and 125 demerit points for kneeing Jack Reiwoldt (Richmond).

The MRP assessed it as level one misconduct (Kneeing).

The initial penalty may be reduced to a reprimand and 97.50 demerit points with an early plea.

 

 

Players cleared by the MRP

 

Marley Williams (Collingwood) for striking Nathan Hrovat (Western Bulldogs).

Dawson Simpson (Geelong) for striking Jimmy Webster (St Kilda).

Cyril Rioli (Hawthorn) for rough conduct against Zach Tuohy (Carlton).

Mav Weller (St Kilda) for making forceful contact with Mark Blicavs (Geelong).
