The Match Review Panel has penalised a number of players from Round 9 matches, while some incidences were dismissed.
Zac Clarke (Fremantle) – has received a one match ban for striking Steve Johnson (Geelong).
The MRP assessed it as level two striking.
The initial penalty may be reduced to a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points with an early plea.
Steve Johnson (Geelong) – has received a one match ban for making contact with Ryan Crowley (Fremantle).
The MRP assessed it as a level one misconduct.
The initial ban was added to 71.78 demerit points already accumulated and because of his prior record of suspensions over the last few years, he’s ineligible for the penalty to be reduced with an early plea.
Chris Dawes (Melbourne) – has received a two match ban for striking Alex Rance (Richmond).
The MRP assessed it as level three striking.
The initial penalty may be reduced to one match ban and 168.75 demerit points with an early plea.
Nick Malceski (Sydney) has been cleared of making contact with umpire Troy Pannell.
Dan Hannebery (Sydney) has been cleared after colliding with Michael Hurley (Essendon).
