After tests at training during the week young gun Rhys Palmer has been named in the Dockers side to take on Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.

Fremantle coaching staff watched Palmer closely to determine whether he should play on for the rest of the season or have surgery on damaged knee cartilage that would see out for the rest of 2008.

Some big returns this week with Barry Hall back in the Swans side after missing two matches while the Tigers recall big man Matthew Richardson for their clash against the Brisbane Lions.

Adelaide young gun Jason Porplyzia has made a speedy return after dislocating his shoulder in Round 15. The forward looked like he would miss around a month but has been rushed back with the season ending knee injury to Brett Burton.

Adelaide has also dropped Graeme Johncock with Crows football operations manager John Reid stating that Johncock had failed to meet the expected standards of preparation.
Port Adelaide’s Peter Burgoyne has also been punished for a misdemeanor after turning up to training in an unfit manner around a month ago. The Power leadership group has imposed a one week suspension for Burgoyne.
