Magpie Scott Pendlebury is facing a minimum of a week in recovery after fracturing his tibia over the weekend. The injury happened during the first quarter of the clash between Collingwood and the Gold Coast on Sunday when he made contact with Sun Josh Caddy.
The injury will likely cost Pendlebury a spot in the annual Queen’s Birthday round eleven showdown on Monday against the Demons and will quickly become two weeks off as the Magpies are scheduled for a bye in round twelve the following weekend. The earliest Pendlebury would return to the team is round thirteen against the Eagles who currently remain in the top position on the ladder.
