The Match Review Panel has given Bomber Sam Lonergan a one-match ban for a sling-tackle applied during the match against Port Adelaide on Saturday. Lonergan faced a charge of negligence, medium impact and high contact for his rough conduct charge on Power’s Travis Boak.

Should the Essendon midfielder decide to appeal the suspension, if unsuccessful he may even be forced to miss two games.

The Panel has also served West Coast’s Beau Waters with an early plea of a reprimand and 93.75 report points for hitting Demon Jake Grimes during the Eagle’s 108 point win on Easter Saturday.

For the Lions, Jake Redden has been given a $900 fine for wrestling with the Blues’  Mitch Robinson who has received the same penalty. Redden’s report for striking Denis Armfield during the same Thursday night match at the Gabba has been dismissed.

In a Easter long-weekend full of round two reports, Dockers captain Matthew Pavlich was suspected of being penalised for a bump on Sydney’s Nick Malceski.  However, upon review of the incident no forceful or inappropriate action was found.
