Tipping for each round closes on the hour of the first match of the round. For example if the game starts at 7:40pm on a Friday night you must enter your tips before 7pm or if the first game starts at 2:10pm you would need to enter your tips before 2pm. If tips are not placed before the close of round, you will be automatically given the away teams as your tips. Do not ask for tips to be entered after this time. If you did not enter your tips then too bad.
The allocation of points are as follows:
1 points is given for each correct tip.
0 points given for an incorrect tip.
0 points given if there is a draw.
DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
If at the end of the tipping competition two (2) or more players have the same amount of points a countback will occur. A countback will rank Players according to the frequency with which they selected the most winning teams in a Round over the 22 Rounds of the AFL Season and an elimination process based solely on that count back will occur. The count back will firstly identify the player(s) who most frequently tipped 8 winning teams from 8, then 7 winning teams from 8 , then 6 winning teams from 8 and so on (down to and including 1 winning team from 8 if required) until players are determined to be ranked higher than all of the others. All entries taken up in the calculation will be based on a total of 8 matches in a Round regardless of whether 8 teams were selected by the player.
If this fails to rank the players for the three prizes, each player will be entered into a draw. The order each player is drawn is where there will be ranked accordingly. This outcome of this will be final and no further correspondence will occur.
CLAIMING OF PRIZES
Cash prizes will be claimed via Paypal or Direct Deposit into a nominated bank account. Prizes must be claimed within 8 weeks of the competition close. All monetary prizes will be paid in Australia Dollars (AUD).
