The All Australian selection panel met today and have released a 40-man squad of players who are in contention for the 2013 AFL All Australian Team.

Interestingly, no Richmond players made the cut which is sure to cause some controversy. They join 3 other clubs (Carlton, Brisbane and Melbourne) to have no players included in the squad.

It didn’t take long for social media to erupt with criticism of the squad with many questioning why Bulldog star Tom Liberatore was left out despite being a standout leader in clearance stats for the season. Other questionable omissions include Pearce Hanley from the Lions and Michael Hibberd from Essendon.
