Carlton has this morning confirmed that Chris Judd will miss the start of the season due to Achilles tendinitis, an injury that will require surgery.
The club has told fans through it’s official website that they expect Judd to be fully fit by round 3 of the 2014 season.
“Chris has been training well so far this pre-season, but he has been pulling up sore over the past week or so,” Carlton’s GM – Football Operations Andrew McKay said.
“We feel the best course of action is to address the issue now, to ensure Chris can have maximum impact on the field when he returns.”
Carlton will face North Melbourne in their first NAB Challenge match on the 15th of February.
