Former West Coast and Richmond player Ben Cousins was reportedly arrested in Perth overnight.

It’s been reported that Cousins has been charged with reckless driving, failing to stop and failing to give a sample of breath.

It’s alleged Cousins continued to drive as police attempted to pull him over, he then proceeded to red lights at very slow speeds.

The West Australian has reported that Cousins told police over the phone it was a family emergency and he couldn’t stop.

Cousins has been released on bail and will appear in court on April 8.
