Chris Judd will be at Carlton next year after Carlton and West Coast finally came to an agreement over the trade of arguably the best player in the competition. The two clubs agreed on a deal that would see Carlton receiving Judd and pick 46 in the national draft whilst West Coast receive picks 3 and 20 along with promising young forward Josh Kennedy. Negotiations between the clubs have been going on since Judd nominated Carlton as his preferred club over a week ago. West Coast initially demanded Carlton’s pick one in the draft but settled after Carlton refused to budge.

The details of Judd’s contract are yet to be finalized however he is expected to be offered a 5 year contract worth around a million dollars a year. Meanwhile Kennedy signed a two year contract with West Coast which is believed to be more than what he was receiving at Carlton.

Whilst Carlton fans are sad to see Kennedy leave they are eagerly awaiting to see Judd run out in the old navy blue guernsey for the first time. Membership at the Carlton Football Club opens in November and with the recruitment of Judd the membership record that was set earlier this year could yet again be broken.
