In their first match of the year, WA representatives the Dockers and the Eagles battle it out at Arena Joondalup on Tuesday afternoon. Injuries plague both teams, as they include a number of new players in their NAB Challenge squads.
Fremantle recruits Scott Gumbleton and Colin Sylvia have been select to play, along with draftee Josh Simpson.
West Coast will count Andrew Gaff among their missing players due to illness as well as Nic Naitanui who is suffering a groin injury and Beau Waters who is recovering from shoulder issues. New faces in the Eagle’s lineup will be Xavier Ellis, Dom Sheed and Elliott Yeo.
