It has been a big week at North Melbourne ahead of their opening NAB Cup match against Melbourne and Richmond tonight at Etihad Stadium.
The Roos have today re-signed youngster Shaun Atley until the end of the 2015 season. The 20 year old, who dons Wayne Carey’s old number 18 jumper, has show significant improvement since being draft to the club in 2010.
The news comes after yesterday’s announcement that coach Brad Scott signed three year contract extension to see him stay in charge at the Roos until the end of the 2016 season. Star midfielders Daniel Wells and Jack Ziebell also agreed to a three year contract extension as the Roos look to push for another finals birth after finishing eighth in 2012.
North head into the NAB Cup with almost a full list looking to showcase some new recruits Ben Jacobs, Taylor Hine and Jordan Gysberts.
