Following a successfully training session on Wednesday, Magpies Alan Didak and Chris Tarrant are likely to play this weekend against Richmond at the MCG. Such news is obviously pleasing for the club and its supporters, after a difficult round one match against the Hawks saw several Pies unavailable due to injury.
This week the Magpies are sure to be out in full force. Dayne Beams, Ben Johnson and Cameron Wood played in the VFL match against Geelong last weekend and are also set to return to the Collingwood line-up on Saturday.
Nathan Brown is expected to return through the VFL after recovering from double knee injuries which caused him to miss the 2011 season. Another training session is scheduled for tomorrow, before final selection is made.
Nick Maxwell attended training on Wednesday, but decided to give himself another week to recover from his ankle injury saying he would be at high risk if he returned too early.
