For two teams this week it will all end in tears after coming so close yet so far from premiership glory, the two teams remaining at the end of the preliminary finals will of course progress to the Grand Final.
Friday September 19
First preliminary final: Geelong v Western Bulldogs at the MCG, 7.40pm
Saturday September 20
Second preliminary final: Hawthorn v St Kilda at the MCG, 7pm
One thing is certain, it will be the first Grand Final involving two Victorian clubs since 2000, when Essendon defeated Melbourne by 10 straight goals.
