Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend last week and managed to back some winners.
Looking in to round 6 it looks like one of those rounds where you would hate to forget to enter your tips and get all the away sides.
I’m going to get straight to the point this week and say my best bet for the round is the Swans to beat Carlton H2H tonight at the SCG. The Blues have failed to win at the SCG in 17 years, last time they won coach Brett Ratten was still considered a rookie playing for Carlton.
By all reports the weather in Sydney has been shocking in recent days but it does look to be clearing up today with just showers expected. Carlton have to go in expecting to play to the Swans contested style of game but if they’re restricted to that then they don’t stand much chance. The Blues will be wanting to open the game up and hitting the scoreboard. The SCG has great drainage and I like the $1.90 odds for total match score to be 155.5 points or more.
My next best for the round is the Lions on the +18.5 line against Richmond on the MCG. Richmond are coming off a win against North Melbourne and the Lions will be coming off a hard loss to the Saints but have a 3 day advantage over the Tigers. The Lions were far from embarrassed against the Saints and should take confidence from it.
These two teams don’t play at the MCG that often but last time they met at the ground the Lions got up to win by 26 points in 2009.
