Saint Nick Dal Santo and Magpie Dale Thomas are free to play in this weeks AFL Grand Final after being cleared by the Match Review Panel of any wrong doing in there respective matches on the weekend.
Dal Santo, who is also struggling with a back injury, was thought to be in trouble after making high contact in an attempt to bump Bulldog midfielder Callan Ward on Saturday night. Ward played out the rest of the game and the Match Review Panel decided that force of contact was not enough to warrant a suspension.
Dale Thomas is also breathing easier after the Match Review Panel deemed his front-on contact with Geelong’s Harry Taylor acceptable after it was found the young Magpie had is hands on the ball at the point of contact and was making legitimate attempt to gather the ball.
Magpie defender Tyson Goldsack was also sighted for rough conduct on Cat forward Mathew Stokes but can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea avoiding a one match ban.
